Happy I’ve Been Awarded Two Stellar Book Reviews From Readers Favorite For My “The Rising Wind Series” Books One & Two… Book Two Releasing Soon!

Hello Friends, Readers, and Visitors,

It has been a very long while since I have posted on blog and I do apologize as I have been feverishly writing after I released RISING WIND: The Thunder Beings. It seems GOD had other plans for me to continue the story of Sercora and Gideon and now it has become a three book series!

Especially after this nasty COVID and pandemic, I decided to go for it and began writing the next books. Well, the writing and work is done for the rest of this series. If you have not had a chance to dive into book one, The Thunder Beings of Rising Wind, below I am sharing some exciting NEWS…

Even though Thunder Beings is already out and released? My publicist and I submitted all three books to the series through a literary influencer, Readers Favorite to get a feel of how good or bad (LOL) the manuscripts were. Below is the answers!

I really do hope you will grab a copy of Book One and begin the exciting journey of this series. It is packed with action and adventure, with a native American feel, and a multicultural mystery and throughout the essence of HOPE like no other book you have read. I am almost ready to release book two titled Ice and Bone, and then book three the finale.

I am today sharing the reviews I have gotten and I am so pleased with the results and reviews!
ENJOY!

BOOK REVIEW

Reviewed by Scott Cahan for Readers’ Favorite

Readers’ Favorite announces the review of the Fiction – Adventure book “Rising Wind” by Diane Olsen, currently available at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0692096507.

Rising Wind: The Thunder Beings (Book One) by Diane Olsen is a story of adventure and spirituality. The story follows a man and a woman who don’t know each other at first but they are drawn together by a mysterious thunderbird that is supposed to be extinct. Secora is a paleontologist who goes to South America to track another animal that was also thought to be extinct, a giant sloth. In the process of finding the sloth, she stirs up all kinds of trouble and soon finds a group of assassins after her.

Meanwhile, Gideon, a native American Indian who has left the ways and beliefs of his heritage behind, keeps having visions. A thunderbird is appearing to him and leading him to step out of his comfort zone and go to South America to help a woman he’s never met to fulfill a mysterious mission.

Rising Wind is an effective mixture of science, spirituality, and adventure. There is just enough science present in the story to make the giant sloth and a small race of people called the Duendes seem like they could be real. The book is also filled with lots of spirituality involving beliefs from several different religions. The most prevalent is from Native Americans which is how the thunderbird is explained. I’ve already mentioned the adventure aspect, but I’ll add that the story moves at a good pace, making every scene intriguing and at times exciting.

This book has a good cast of characters, all with unique and relatable personalities. Rising Wind by Diane Olsen is the first book in a series. It will be interesting to see more of the thunderbirds and other strange creatures as the series unfolds. I highly suggest this read! https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/rising-wind

Review Rating: Rising Wind: Ice and Bone (Book Two Unpublished – Series)

5 Stars – Congratulations on your 5-star review!

Ice and Bone by Diane Olsen is part two in the Rising Wind series. You could read this book as a stand-alone without reading the first one as the author does a decent job of bringing her readers up to speed, but my recommendation is to read part 1, The Thunder Beings, first if possible. The story is somewhat complex with lots of characters and it could get confusing if your first introduction to the series is Ice and Bone.

The best way I can think of to describe the Rising Wind series is as something akin to the Indiana Jones movies with a stronger emphasis on the science behind the archaeology, a female lead, and a bunch of spirituality thrown into the mix. In Ice and Bone, the discovery of ancient human remains, in a place where science and history say they shouldn’t be, sets off a chain of events that pull our heroes, Secora and Gideon, into all kinds of new dangers. Will they and their budding romance survive?

And what will become of Secora’s newly adopted baby, Monta? Secora is forced to bring her child along as she and her friends trek through the jungles of South America, trying to stay one step ahead of those who will stop at nothing to prevent the new archaeological discovery from being made public.

Rising Wind: Ice and Bone is a gripping thrill ride full of action and colorful characters. Author Diane Olsen does a great job of balancing the fast-moving plot with interesting interactions between her characters. The science behind the discoveries in the book is also handled very well and expertly woven into the story to make it all feel very believable.

Fans of archaeology fiction based on real science are sure to enjoy Ice and Bone as well as its predecessor, The Thunder Beings. Step aside, Indiana Jones; a new hero, Secora James, has arrived to dig up controversial discoveries and protect them from the evil forces who want to steal them and use them for evil.

I highly recommend Rising Wind: Ice and Bone.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

When impassioned paleontologist Secora James is summoned to South America to confirm or dispel rumors of a creature long-thought extinct, she lands herself in more trouble than she had ever imagined.

Secora knows that the Mapinguari, a giant ground sloth that rivals King Kong for size, is probably just a local myth dreamed up by the indigenous tribes. Or is it? Gideon Yellow Thunder is Montana’s top real estate broker and is perfectly content with his modern life, choosing to leave behind his Lakota heritage in order to lead a life of wealth and success.

But when he starts having visions of bison on the open prairie, he feels compelled to act… Now two separate lives are on a collision course as Gideon sets off for the jungles of Brazil to find a woman he’s never met and protect the sacred beings he’d long given up believing in— the Thunderbirds. Could they be real after all? Or are they just a myth?

Gideon’s about to find out in the adventure of a lifetime, where everything he’d pushed aside is determined to leave its mark on his life.

LOVE

All the Prophets and Manifestations taught us to develop virtues here in the spirit kindergarten of earthly life. We will need these virtues in the next world, like we needed to develop limbs and eyes in the world of the womb – even though it might not have been fully clear why, at the time.

No matter what Faith you profess, or if you commune with God in an aspen meadow, you know the comfort and warmth of the love of God, Allah or any other name. As you feel filled with that love, you know you must share it with other beings; whether they be plants, animals, people; or even the earth, rocks, and sky. It makes you feel all “The hills are alive, with the sound of music.”

Where there is love, nothing is too much trouble, and there is always time.” Abdu’l-Baha

“The central basis for men to love one another is rooted in the nature of God Himself. God is love.” 1 John 4:7-21, Farid Mahally

“Islam, according to the Quran, teaches love and compassion for every human being, no matter their religion.”

“He who defends with love will be secure; Heaven will save him, and protect him with love.” Lao Tzu

“Love Me that I may love thee. If thou lovest me not, My love can in no wise reach thee.” Baha’u’llah.

“Bearers of the Holy Spirit” – Part Two.

Hello Friends, Readers, and New Ones,

In the previous blog, we spoke of two ‘Bearers of the Holy Spirit’ which Christ told us would follow Him. Not with His name, but with new names and faces. They would speak that which was given them, as Christ had, Himself; but not with His lips.

He referred to the Comforter (sometimes the “Friend”) and to the Spirit of Truth. The revelation following Christ was that of Mohammad also referred to as “the Friend of God”; The Spirit of Truth would refer to Baha’ullah, the Glory of God, who would judge the peoples of the earth.

Baha’ullah would, as in the example Christ gave for Himself, come by way of the Door or Gate; which refers in this case, to the “Gate” known as the “Bab”

Image result for copyfree image of god at the pearly gate of heaven

“I will come again in Glory to judge the living and the dead.”

Christ wasn’t alone in foretelling the Bearers of the Holy Spirit. Below is a gem of grace provided to us by Moses…

Deuteronomy Chapter 33 ~ From the Holy Bible ~ New King James version
1. Now, this is the blessing with which Moses blessed the children of Israel before His death.
2 And He said: “The Lord came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mt. Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints; from His right hand came a fiery law for them.” (Sometimes a “fiery sword”)

One of the things I love about this passage is that Moses refers to Himself and the future Bearers of the Holy Spirit in the past tense. It lets us know how great and endless, is the embrace of His vision.

Moses was in Egypt, then the Sinai Peninsula

Seir lies between Sinai and Iraq. The Seir Mountains of Edom, and here refers to Jesus the Christ

Mt. Paran east side of the Red Sea, in Arabia, and refers to Mohammed

The One known as the Gate, or Bab, died with many thousands of His followers, in just a few years of His independent Revelation, in Iran.

The Glory of God, known as Baha’ullah has come with Judgement and Justice to unite all of God’s earth. He calls for the end of the extremes of poverty and wealth so that we can live in lasting peace, rather than desperation.

Let me know your meditations on this. Next time, we can look at the relationship between the Prophets as they edify the bearer of the Holy Spirit, which came before them.

Introducing My New Book and Awesome New Book Reviews.

As a new author like many of you, I find it interesting why it is we can not seem to find the “perfect recipe” for readers to leave us a book review when the finish our books? So when I do receive new one’s I think it’s appropriate to share them. I thank those readers who have been kind to read and leave a book review on Amazon,  Goodreads,  and  Barnes and Noble .  .  .

ABOUT MY NEW BOOK:

Diane Olsen Introduces

“In order to enjoy this book, you may have to suspend current beliefs, since some of the concepts may seem quite foreign at first. Hopefully, you will find precious gems to take with you.”

What if monotheism always existed, and revelations were given to all human forms. There are hints to that effect. We should not assume primitive peoples were not smart enough to grasp the concept of a single Creator!

Too often we tweak religion to reflect our personal thoughts, rather than dealing directly with the Word of God. Today monotheism is represented by at least nine living faiths, yet praying to God alone is not enough, for many. Instead, we pray to Prophets, angels, saints, ancestors, deities, and the universe.

This creates a chain of “Paths” and “Ways” which become stained by human desires for control and material benefits. And as darkness and materialism overtake one Faith, another is born, through the intervention of the Holy Spirit, clothed in a different form, with a new name, and very familiar teachings.

Monotheism can be visualized as a chain linking prehistory and history, entwined with human additions, wisps and twists that produce an undulating, ultimate Yin and Yang. This constant interaction of complementary, as well as conflicting, forces and energies, exhibits both organic unity and dynamism even war.

Those who suspect there is a unified core of basic beliefs should enjoy “Ancient Ways.”

Amazing Read of Our Roots of Religion!

“If you enjoy reading about other cultures and religions, and you are interested in anthropology? This is the book to read. Very researched well and exceptionally written by this new author. I learned so much about other religions and the author gives you much to think about when it comes to really wondering how we were first created. Was it one supreme God? Or could evaluation have played a part and why? I highly suggested you read this one with an open mind and take your time. It’s Worth The Read!”

*****  Communicating with gods that seem to have so much in common and so …

Vicki_Goodwin
Communicating with gods that seem to have so much in common and so many similar histories assist in the belief that we share a creator and creation story. This may seem to be a more modern concept, but it could possibly have begun as early as when bipeds began to move about the world, exploring and creating small communities, mixing in with the homo sapiens they met along the way.

I found myself lost in this book, the history and the evolution of man was very well stated and provides documentation for the statements. It has a diverse theme that delves into zombies, white witches, Jewish God, Islamic Allah, Buddha, Osiris, and every form of Diety that has been worshiped and found through verbal and written histories. Bringing them together in on cohesive writing. allowing the reader to see how this is a more common occurrence than typically believed.

The ancient ways connect astrology, alchemy, and all other esoteric practices. The book of Enoch in the Apocrypha tells of the giants that inhabited the world before the great flood. This is carried through in other religious documents of the time. An excellent research book.

In learning about the Priest, Ram, it provided a new and fully invigorating story of earth’s early man and their desire to move past a belief in nature. The book covers the beginning with the priestesses and then covers several chapters on Ram’s dreams, writings, and memories, this information is so thought provoking and insightful. It was new material for me and I was in awe of his place and time in history.
